Portfolio Review

This 30-minute video session includes a full evaluation and critique of your creative portfolio. The goal is to help creatives like you take your art to the next level by improving overall presentation, honing in on the strengths of your work, and ultimately helping you get more of the work you want.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • We will provide feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of your portfolio, with the goal of making the final presentation as attractive to potential clients and employers as possible.

  • Not all portfolios have to take a “Jack of all Trades” approach. You may find that your biggest selling point is in a specific specialization and we’ll help you to distill your portfolio to feature what makes you and your work unique.

  • Although we specialize in graphic design and illustration, we can certainly give you useful feedback on your body of work, even if it’s outside our specific creative field.

 

Creative Business Consultation

This one-hour video session is designed for all artists running or planning to run their own creative business. We provide guidance on building a personal brand, best business practices, exploring new revenue streams and anything that is best suited for you to help you grow as a creative professional.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Our goal is for you as a professional artist to flourish, and we can help you find the right path based on your unique creative potential and how best to monetize your talents.

  • Ever wonder how DKNG handles contracts, invoicing, maintaining a packed schedule or other ins and outs of managing a design firm? We’re happy to give you our best tips on running a creative business from the inside.

  • Running a creative studio, especially when it’s on your own requires a multifaceted approach. We can help you find ways to run your business more efficiently, create new revenue streams, build your brand, and get the jobs you want while prioritizing your strengths as an artist.

 

Illustration/Design Instruction

This one-hour video session will include a screen sharing deep dive into our design and illustration process. Whether you are a graphic designer or illustrator, techniques shared in this session can be specifically catered to your workflow, and will improve your efficiency and enhance your creative process.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • We will show you techniques and tools within Adobe Illustrator that will specifically help the efficiency and creative workflow for the type of work you do.

  • We’re an open book! If you have any interest in seeing how a specific DKNG project came to life, we’re happy to review the working files and explain the construction process behind the project.

  • Although Adobe Illustrator is our primary choice when it comes to vector creation, we’re also happy to share the techniques we use in both Photoshop and Procreate.
