The United States of Saucemerica Campaign
We had the pleasure of working with the Heinz team at Wieden+Kennedy to illustrate a super fun series of limited edition Heinz sauce packets, representing all fifty states and some of their most iconic foods.
2021 Official T-Shirt Design
When In-N-Out approached us about designing their official t-shirt for 2021, we jumped at the chance to take on the project that our SoCal childhood selves could only dream of. The sunset scene features a 1960s Pontiac GTO and a 1930s Plymouth sedan alongside In-N-Out's iconic neon sign and palm trees.
Military Working Dogs Postage Stamps
It’s truly an honor to have been asked by the U.S. Postal Service to design and illustrate a set of postage stamps. Our Military Working Dogs stamps commemorate four highly skilled breeds of working dogs: German Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, Belgian Malinois, and Dutch Shepherd.
Can Design & Packaging
One of our longest client relationships is with the skilled team of brewers at California's own Almanac Beer Co. During our time we've designed and illustrated over 50 unique 16 oz. cans for them as both part of their wide distribution core line and seasonal offerings.
Sustainable City of the Future Illustration
We worked with the team at the United Nations Development Programme and volunteered our services to create an isometric illustration of a city of the future to be featured at the 10th Annual World Urban Forum. The interactive city also lives in the UN website with over 20 sustainable features to explore.
Women Athletes Limited Edition Packaging
For the first time in the company’s 28-year history - Clif Bar decided to replace their iconic climber on their most popular flavors of Clif Bar packaging with six women athletes representing six different sports. The limited-edition packaging debuted to commemorate the 2020 Olympic Games. For the project we illustrated the six featured athletes - Venus Williams, Megan Rapinoe, Ashima Shiraishi, Jordyn Barratt, Lakey Peterson, and Katerina Nash, collectively a group of world champions, Olympians, and Olympic hopefuls.
DKNG Artist Series Skateboards
The space travel themed series of DKNG decks and completes includes three different designs - “Launch” a 28” kicktail cruiser, “Navigate” a 34” cruiser, and “Encounter” a 38” freeride longboard. Each multi-ply maple deck includes gold foil highlights and die-cut grip tape. And the complete boards include Gullwing trucks and Nineballs wheel, all in custom colors to match the series.
Network Branding
Working with the in-house team at USA Today, we created a unique iconic illustration to represent each city/region within their vast network of local news organizations, while also developing a range of marks to work in various applications - from full color textured illustrations for large format and digital usage, to one-color icons for small scale web and print applications, as well as a range of options in between.
In total we produced illustrations for 50 different local news brands within the USA Today Network, now used across their branding from signage, wall graphics, mastheads, websites, social media, merchandise, apparel, and print collateral. We also worked with USA Today to produce style and usage guidelines, allowing them to clearly communicate best practices to design teams throughout the country, and providing the tools to produce additional illustrations in-house for future brands to be included in the network.
Summer Rachel Short Book Jacket Illustrations
We worked with the great team at Simon & Schuster’s Books for Young Readers to create the jackets for Mutant Mushroom Takeover and the followup Attack of the Killer Komodos, both by Summer Rachel Short. The books are super fun mystery page-turners (that frankly we enjoyed as grown adults as well). It’s always a fun process to get to read a manuscript and then transform a scene from a book into something worthy of representing on the cover. In this case the story centers around Maggie and her friend Nate as they investigate some mysterious activity taking place in the woods near their town, and if you look closely, the jacket includes a few hints as to what Maggie and Nate might encounter on their journey. Killer Komodos similarly follows a nature oriented mystery, this time among exploding geysers at Yellowstone National Park.
Citi Concert Series Posters
For over twenty years, the biggest names in music have performed in the TODAY Show Plaza in Rockefeller Center and over the course of two years we produced illustrated posters for musical legends such as Christina Aguilera, Carrie Underwood and Aerosmith. Along with a hero poster announcing the entire lineup, the series included 22 performances each year.
