Workshop 1:
Concept Development Using Playful Materials

Runtime: 2-4 hours

This workshop takes participants through DKNG’s concept development and brainstorming process, using fun arts and crafts materials. Participants will work in teams of two, brainstorming concepts for a poster design. Once they agree upon their design, they’ll work together using construction paper, scissors, glue, markers, etc. to produce their vision, and then present it to the group, explaining their thought process along the way. DKNG will guide participants through the exercises providing feedback and direction.

Workshop 2:
Design and Produce Your Own Enamel Pin

Runtime: 1 day

In this workshop participants will learn how to design their very own enamel pin. We cover everything from concept development, art file setup, design and illustration process, to final file prep. The workshop also includes an inside look into the manufacturing process of pin production, the upfront costs involved, and how to appropriately price your work for retail and wholesale scenarios.

Workshop 3:
From Concept Development to Final Execution

Runtime: 1-2 days

This workshop is a deep dive into the DKNG process. Participants will start day one with pencil and paper, brainstorm and sketching with analog tools. By the end of day one, students begin to digitize their composition. Day 2 is all about refining and completing their design using a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, learning the tools and techniques that DKNG uses in their work along the way.
