Mutant Mushroom Takeover Book Jacket Illustration
We’re excited to announce that our latest book jacket illustration is now out in the world! This time we got to work with the great team at Simon & Schuster’s Books for Young Readers to create the jacket for Mutant Mushroom Takeover by Summer Rachel Short. The book is a super fun mystery page-turner (that frankly we enjoyed as grown adults as well). It’s always a fun process to get to read a manuscript and then transform a scene from a book into something worthy of representing on the cover. In this case the story centers around Maggie and her friend Nate as they investigate some mysterious activity taking place in the woods near their town, and if you look closely, the jacket includes a few hints as to what Maggie and Nate might encounter on their journey.
