In-N-Out Burger 2021 Official T-Shirt
Every once in a while a project comes along that makes our year. Having grown up in California, frequent trips to In-N-Out Burger were a staple of our childhood, and of course we’d always check out the merch, including their famous t-shirts, in the display case next to the register. So when In-N-Out approached us about designing their official t-shirt for 2021, we jumped at the chance to take on the project that our childhood selves could only dream of.
The direction from their team was to create a sunset scene, featuring a 1960s Pontiac GTO and a 1930s Plymouth sedan. It was a fun challenge to take on the classic California elements of In-N-Out’s iconic artwork, but with an attempt to put our own DKNG spin on it. Breaking out of the traditional rectangular frame and building a custom container for the art, along with a reflective base helped ground the artwork as a t-shirt specific design. We also got to design the front chest design as well as custom neon lettering for all of In-N-Out’s local locations.
